Club Competition April 20th 2009

The competition had an open theme whereby any subject is acceptable for entry.  As expected, it brough a wide variety of subjects and strong entries in both the print and digital competitions with 26 prints and 27 digital images.  Local photographer and artist Diane Walkey came along to judge our entries and gave us a very entertaining evening with her comments and constructive critique on our work.  See the tables below for the results.

April Inter-Club Competition News

 The first of this years print battles against new Quay and Aberystwyth takes place this Thursday 2nd April at New Quay Yacht Club.   Each club has entered 15 prints each by a different club members, thus ensuring that everone gets a chance to have work entered.    Cardigan won the trophy last year, lets hope that we can repeat the victory!    Hope to see CPC members there.

Results of the 4 Way DPI Battle at Carmarthen

Hi Everyone,

    For the second year running Cardigan came third in last nights competition behind Tenby and Carmarthen. The final scores were

  1. Tenby             139
  2. Carmarthen    130
  3. Cardigan         121
  4. Amman Valley 112 

 The individual scores for Cardigans images were as follows

  • Bus Stop in Mist                13
  • Encapsulated                    17
  • Fox at the Creek Hide       13
  • Grey Heron with Flatfish    19
  • Mt. Cook                          18
  • Orchid Pattern                  14
  • Smokin                             13
  • Tropical Fruit                     14

Well done to Tommy for scoring our highest mark with his Heron.
